  I remember when I got my PS1 for Christmas when I was a kid. I got Crash Bandicoot 2 and Bubsy 3D with it. Right away playing Crash 2, I remember after I finished Crash 2 I tried Bubsy 3D.. My God, that was a nightmare.. Not sure why they brought Bubsy back.. His 16-Bit outings weren’t that great either..

  I actually liked Bubsy Bobcat in the 90s. I thought the games had quite a cool look to them. Especially by the first one. I thought the catchphrases were kinda cool too. If this new game was like Sonic Mania, the old games brough back in 1080p and with a smooth frame rate, then this could have been much better. Such a shame. I won’t be playing this for Youtube after all.

  Donald Trump is the U.S. president. A new Bubsy game is releasing on the PS4. The world is a very strange place right now.

  @Ralizah Undoubtedly the game was funded by Trump in order to make America great again. And to be honest, I think he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. GOTY right here.

  Who asked for this? And 30 dollars? Why would i get a failed pretender when i can get Sonic Mania for 10 dollars less.

  I’m certain in the hereafter there’s a circle of hell where we will be forced to play all the Busby games for eternity.

  I still can’t believe that Bubsy has a new game. If this guy can come back then someone please make a new Earthworm Jim game.

  Who asked for this?! I didn’t know that there were slightly enjoyable Busby games back in the 16 bit days. I just remember the 3D games. Who next? Gex? Croc? At least they had some decent 3D outings.

  Back in the 90’s Busby was actually a decent character and the games where not to bad, number 2 added special items like the black hole to exit levels and the nerf gun. I actually liked the 90’s versions and if I remember rightly he used to slip on the surface back then too because he would run kinda of fast. But this for full price not a chance maybe under £5 at least its far too much shame really nice to see old games get revived but shame when they don’t do it right.

  @shonenjump86

  Amen to that. Visually I think it would be like Rayman Legends. Some of those levels look so much like a modern take on EWJ.

  @sinalefa yeah, I like Rayman Legends art style. I’ve been thinking about getting it on Switch even though I own the game on another console.

  @MadAussieBloke You could say that about basically any genre. There are always games in a genre that are really similar to each other.

  Man it looked colorful and fun but it seems consistently hated.

  Little Bubsy 3D yarn (ha) for you: the team behind it, lead by the characters creator who was back on board after Bubsy 2 was made without his approval, we’re actually really proud of the game. Not when it released, but before it was due to be shown to the world for the first time at E3 (I think). This was the first actual attempt at a 3D platformer by anybody and they thought they were on to a winner. Problem is, less than an hour before they unveiled it, Nintendo showed off Super Mario 64 for the first time. Bubsy 3D’s entire team were in attendance and collectively said “Oh s**t, we’re in real trouble.”

  People who ran the company refused the team’s pleas for more time or to start again, insisting they release it as was. The entire team knew they were about to become a laughing stock but there was nothing they could do.
