  ”The No. 1 challenge people have with printing is running out of ink,” GS&P executive creative director Laura Petruccelli tells Muse. “While thinking about who this might affect the most, we realized this would really be a hazard for vampires, who can’t even go out to buy more ink in the middle of the day. There was also a quote from the research about the cost of printer ink being ‘more than human blood.’ Vampires just felt perfect in every way.”

  Over the last year, “we’ve seen a resurgence in print—people have fallen back in love with their printers,” says HP global head of marketing Deepak Masand. “This campaign uses the power of story to educate customers about Instant Ink in a funny, engaging way, with characters you want to see again and again.”

  Indeed, Dover and Musgraves channel an amusing Addams Family vibe to bring their undead characters to life. (Though judging from those overbites, they might want to consult a dentist who works nights.)
